The Father’s Heartbeat International Foundation was recently featured on the One Youth Bible Trivia Programme, a youth-focused radio initiative aired on Legacy 95.1 FM, Abakaliki. The programme provided an important platform for our foundation to share its vision, mission, and forthcoming leadership development initiative for secondary school students.
The Bible Trivia programme, hosted by Ekene Paul Dominion, is designed to engage secondary school students through Bible quiz participation while encouraging learning, confidence, moral growth, and healthy competition. The programme also rewards participating students with stipends to support school fees or study materials.
Our founder and President, Rhoda Nnaemeka-Unigwe, was invited as a guest speaker to introduce The Father’s Heartbeat International Foundation, explain the inspiration behind the foundation, and speak about the upcoming Prefect Conference 2026, scheduled to hold on Friday, 29th May, 2026.
Introducing the Foundation
During the radio programme, our founder introduced herself and gave listeners a clear understanding of the foundation’s identity and purpose. She spoke about the heart of the organisation, its commitment to human impact, and the desire to contribute meaningfully to society through intentional service.
The Father’s Heartbeat International Foundation exists to reach people with compassion, support, guidance, and transformational initiatives. The foundation is driven by the belief that real change begins when individuals are seen, helped, encouraged, and empowered to become better versions of themselves.
This appearance on Legacy 95.1 FM was an opportunity to reach students, parents, teachers, youth leaders, and members of the wider community with the message of hope, leadership, and responsibility.
What Inspired the Foundation
One of the key questions asked during the programme was what inspired the establishment of the foundation.
In response, our founder explained that the foundation was inspired by a deep burden to see lives changed positively. The vision came from observing the needs around us, especially among young people who often have great potential but lack mentorship, encouragement, leadership training, and the right support systems.
Many young people are gifted, intelligent, and full of promise, but without guidance, they may never fully discover or maximize their potential. The foundation was created to stand in that gap by offering direction, support, empowerment, and opportunities for growth.
The inspiration behind the foundation is rooted in a simple but powerful conviction: the world can be changed when one life is touched, one student is encouraged, one young leader is guided, and one person is given hope.
Our Mission
When asked about the mission of the foundation, our founder summarized it clearly:
Changing the world, one life at a time.
This mission reflects the foundation’s core belief that every life matters and that even a single act of kindness, mentorship, or support can create a lasting ripple effect.
At The Father’s Heartbeat International Foundation, we believe that transformation does not always begin with large numbers. It begins with one person who receives the right encouragement, one student who discovers purpose, one leader who learns responsibility, and one community that experiences positive change.
Through our programmes, outreaches, and leadership initiatives, we remain committed to building lives, raising responsible young people, supporting education, promoting values, and contributing to a better society.
Spotlight on Prefect Conference 2026
A major focus of the radio discussion was the forthcoming Prefect Conference 2026, themed:
Rebuilding the Future
The conference is scheduled to hold on Friday, 29th May, 2026, by 8:00 AM at the Ecumenical Center, Enter Block A.
The Prefect Conference is a student leadership development event designed to equip secondary school prefects and emerging young leaders with the mindset, discipline, values, and confidence required to lead effectively.
The 2026 edition will feature impactful activities including:
Quiz Competition
Essay Writing
Debate
These activities are designed to sharpen students intellectually, improve public speaking, strengthen critical thinking, encourage healthy competition, and promote leadership through learning.
Why the Theme “Rebuilding the Future” Matters
The theme Rebuilding the Future is timely and necessary. The future of any society is directly connected to the quality of young people being raised today.
Secondary school students are not too young to understand leadership, responsibility, service, integrity, and vision. In fact, the earlier young people are exposed to these values, the better prepared they become for future roles in their schools, families, communities, and nation.
Prefects occupy a strategic position in schools. They serve as a bridge between students and school authorities. They influence discipline, student behaviour, communication, order, and school culture. However, many prefects are given leadership titles without adequate training on what leadership truly means.
The Prefect Conference seeks to close that gap by helping students understand that leadership is not merely a position. Leadership is service. Leadership is responsibility. Leadership is character. Leadership is influence used for good.
Equipping Student Leaders for Impact
Through the conference, participants will be encouraged to see themselves as nation builders in training. They will learn that the way they lead in school today can shape how they lead in society tomorrow.
The conference will expose student leaders to important leadership values such as discipline, integrity, confidence, teamwork, communication, accountability, and service.
It will also help students understand the importance of using their voices positively, standing for what is right, respecting authority, inspiring their peers, and becoming examples in conduct and character.
By investing in prefects and young leaders, The Father’s Heartbeat International Foundation is investing in the future of families, schools, communities, and the nation.
Special Guest Feature
The conference will also feature Pst. Samuel Inyeneabasi, Senior Pastor of Scent of Water Ministry, Abakaliki, as part of the event lineup. His presence will further strengthen the spiritual, moral, and leadership dimension of the conference.
With a combination of leadership training, intellectual competitions, mentorship, and value-based instruction, the event promises to be a meaningful experience for students and participating schools.
